Dead Wrestlers List

This is the most complete dead wrestlers list on the Internet. In it you will find wrestlers who have died in the last ten years, twenty years, and going all the way back to the late 19th century.

While many people think of wrestling as a big joke, there is one thing about wrestling that isn’t funny. The death rate among wrestlers is alarmingly high. The first time time this story was covered by the national media was in 2003 on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumble. That segment featured Vince McMahon mocking the interviewer and slapping the notes from his hands. In addition, the only wrestler to speak up for the wrestlers, Roddy Piper, was fired after the piece aired.

There is much debate about how much effect steroid use has on the premature deaths of professional wrestlers. As this list will be updated with causes of death, where available, it is beneficial to have some idea of the side effects of steroid use. While the true long term side effects are not fully known, it is believed that just a few of the side effects of steroid use include: heart disease, liver damage, kidney damage, cancer, strokes and blood clots, depression, thoughts of suicide, paranoia, hallucinations, severe mood swings, and ‘roid rage’ - severe, agressive behavior that may result in violence.

    What about the Ultimate Warrior? The rumor was he died in a motorcycle accident back in the 80’s. Or did I just hear a myth and he’s actually retired in Palm Springs.

    Today on October 4th WWE SuperStar, Cody Rhodes suffered from a concussion after having his neck caught between a steel chair. Shortly after the Hell in a Cell match Cody remained unconscious. He was quickly rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead 20 minutes after the match.

    at his home in Helsinki.He had committed a suicide.

    Chris Kanyon (Christopher Klucsaritis) was found dead
    2.4.2010 at his New York apartment by his brother.
    He had committed a suicide via overdose of pills.

    Chris Kanyon 1970 - 2010 due to an overdose of pills. The overdose might have been a suicide as he has publicly battled bipolar disorder and has threatened to commit suicide in the past to his friends. He was only 40 years old.

    i noticed you dont have boyh british bulldogs on list.i thaught davey boy smith died from drug overdose
    i know just about anything there is to know about wrestling and ive studdied wrestling dating all the way back to the 18 hundreds when wrestling first started
    you dont have all the facts about the deaths of the wrestlers.
